Data engineering
with context.

I build the parts of a data system most people never see.

I'm a Data Engineer at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, and I have a master's in Business Analytics and AI from UT Dallas. I build and maintain pipelines, move older workflows into cloud tooling, and work on internal document intelligence services.

Some days that means fixing a failed pipeline. Other days it means making the next failure less likely. I like that part of the job: when everything is working, the data is almost invisible.

Jul 2025 – Present NowData EngineerTeacher Retirement System of Texas

At the moment, I work across data integration, pipeline operations, and document intelligence.

I build Azure integrations across Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake Storage, and Synapse. I also added automated synchronization so downstream datasets do not go stale.
I monitor production ETL and ELT pipelines, chase down failures, and improve the parts that keep breaking.
I built Python and FastAPI services for a document intelligence platform using Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence, and RAG to pull useful information from PDFs.
